About the Blog

I want everyone to know something: my being zealous about healthy and happy living doesn't mean I deprive myself of the foods I love. {i.e. buttery popcorn, junior mints, ice cream...} I am not obsessive about working out to the point of punishing myself if I miss a day or two, even sometimes a week of the gym. A lot of the time I don't get 8 hours of sleep, and sometimes I go boating and forget to put on sunscreen. Get my point here? I did not start this blog because I am a perfect example of healthy living! But I believe in all things in moderation, I believe in doing what makes you happy, and I work hard and feel that I earn things.
My biggest hope in starting this blog is simply AWARENESS. I feel like the majority of us (myself included) are not fully aware of how everything we do, everything we don't do, and everything we put in our bodies affects our lives. We aren't motivated enough to find better ways we can be happier, healthier, and feel better about ourselves. This is a journey for myself and for anyone who wants to join me in motivation, awareness, and an ultimate goal of living long, healthy, happy lives!
